Overwhelmed by your Child’s Behavior and Don’t Know What to Do?
Is a kicking and screaming child your normal right now?
Do you watch your child sleeping peacefully at night and your heart aches knowing that in the morning the turmoil will start all over again?
We want you to know what you are feeling is what other adoptive parents feel, too.
And we would like to help you move from turmoil to experiencing peace with your child!
Our Approach to Helping Adoptive Families in Counseling
Child-Parent Psychotherapy that we practice is designed for children ages 0-5, who have experienced one or more traumatic or stressful events in their lives.
The Child-Parent Psychotherapy sessions will usually include you and your child. In these family counseling sessions, our goal will be to strengthen your relationship bond with your child. As we build on your relationship connection, your child will experience continued emotional healing and positive changes in their behavior.
As part of child and family counseling, our therapists will also support you in how to cope with the stress and emotional strain resulting from the adoption process.
We strongly believe Child-Parent Psychotherapy, can help you experience:
- a greater connection and better communication with your child;
- positive behaviors and self-control in your child.
