Tired of Feeling Like Your Life is Out of Control?
The period of young adulthood is a difficult time in everyone’s life.
All at once, it seems like you’re supposed to discover exactly what you want to study, what job you plan to get, where you’re going to live, and how you’re going to pay for it all.
It might feel overwhelming. You might even feel discouraged and helpless. Or maybe you are cracking under the pressure of the expectations others have of you.
You are not alone.
Whether you’re being crushed by the anxiety of upcoming exams, depression over a recent break up, or past painful experiences, we can help you regain a sense of stability in your life.
We want to help you succeed!

What Happens in Young Adult Counseling?
Problems are an unchanging reality of life—we run into hundreds of them every day!
Most can be handled without much thought, but some problems can weigh very heavily on our minds.
Things like stress, finances, career planning, depression, and histories of anxiety or abuse can be difficult (if not impossible) for one person to work through on their own.
With us, you don’t need to navigate these struggles alone. You can expect us to work with you wholeheartedly to find the direction, stability and security you need. And we WANT to work with you—we’re here to help you find the best path for you.
We don’t take a cookie cutter approach to working with you. If you need tools, we will work with you on finding best tools to aid your life situation right now. You might need to look at your thoughts or sort through your feelings. We are here to help you do that.
In the midst of it all, we can promise you that we will be warm and empathetic through the entire experience.
We would be honored to be your guide to a better state of mind.
Our clients can always trust that our work will be confidential.

Are You Nervous About Young Adult Counseling?
A lot of people are nervous about seeking help through counseling. The idea of talking to someone you might not have met before can be terrifying, especially if you aren’t a social butterfly to begin with.
We understand the stress. Your comfort and peace of mind are our highest priorities, and we want to make sure you experience that from our first session.
At the heart of our approach to counseling is an intention to create a compassionate, confidential and nonjudgmental environment for you. We hope that this allows us to safely address your struggles together and create the life changes that you desire. We promise that you’ll never be “just another client” to us.
It’s time to feel better!
How you can work with us
There are a couple of ways for you to work with us.
The first is a traditional, individual therapy session where we meet once per week. You can schedule appointments online that work around your existing schedule. We offer morning, evening, and weekend appointments for your convenience.
A second option, if you feel that you would benefit from having family members with you, is a more specialized family counseling session. We will meet with you and your family as often as you need in order to best understand your situation and help guide you through it.
Alternatively, if you live in Washington state, we encourage you to consider online video counseling. We know that the prospect of a long commute or not having a car while in college can keep someone from finding the help they need, and we don’t want that distance to get in the way of healing. If you can’t come to us, we want to come to you.
