(Graduate Student in Marriage and Family Therapy at George Fox University)
Have you found yourself in a place where you are just not sure what you want next or how to get there?
Do you find that you are lacking the resources necessary to make that next goal in life attainable?
Life can be challenging. Doing it alone can make it that much harder.
We all need a little help, guidance, and encouragement. I am here to offer that help!
My hope is that in working together we can begin to help you find and develop the necessary resources, skills, and hope that can encourage your ability to experience joy, peace, and fulfillment in every area of your life.
Who I Work With?
Counseling for Couples:
I am most passionate and come to life in my work with couples.
My belief in the possibility for restoration and joy extends to include the most intimate relationship we choose to have with our partner.
Whether you are dating, engaged to be married or married, these relationships are hard. But, when given the best resources, couples can begin to experience meaningful, safe, and lasting connections.
I am a trained and certified Prepare and Enrich facilitator. My approach to working with couples is influenced by Emotionally Focused Therapy and resources from the Gottman method.
Counseling for Individuals:
I believe that we are all holistic beings that must be understood and examined within the context of our relationships and environment. Therefore, in my work with individuals, I hope to use our time together to assist you in exploring and expanding your awareness of the various experiences that make up your life.
I also take a person-centered approach, meaning that I seek to understand your worldview while providing a therapeutic climate of safety and trust.
Working with me, you will gain insight into your relationship struggles, transitions, and goal development. We will also work together to help you find solutions to your current concerns.
Family Therapy with Children and Teens:
Family relationships can be the best and the most challenging to experience.
I have over 15 years of children’s and youth ministry experience. I have worked in the church setting with individuals preschool-aged to high school-aged. Each developmental phase can bring its unique challenges for the individual and their family. My goal in working with your child or teen and your family is to support mental, spiritual and relational well being.
Whether it is managing different personalities and relationship dynamics, or navigating various life seasons, I am here to support and encourage your family so that your home is one filled with peace, joy, and connection.
What to expect in a counseling session with me as your therapist?
Whatever you choose to bring into our time together will be met with empathy and non-judgment.
I will provide an authentic and honest presence while taking a collaborative approach to our relationship.
I consider my clients holistically and take a curious approach to understanding all the parts that make up who you are.
I genuinely care and desire to see you experience the “Aha” moments that encourage clarity, peace and fulfillment in your life.
Why choose me as your therapist?
My education at George Fox University as a graduate student of Marriage, Couples and Family counseling has trained me in the specific areas of trauma informed care, spiritual and cultural considerations, family systems and techniques specific to couples therapy.
I am truly passionate about this work and the connections that I am able to foster with my clients through this unique experience that we call therapy.
I am committed to taking an approach of a lifelong learner, including seeking additional formal training, researching all things therapy related in my free time, and viewing you, the client, as the expert of your life and experiences.
When I am not doing therapy…
You can be sure to find me outside exploring the beautiful PNW, anywhere that I can hang out with people or animals of any kind or eating a lot of tacos.
When I am not outside enjoying the seasonal sunshine, you can find me curled up under a cozy blanket reading a historical fiction novel or taking a nap!
Frequent adventures with my family, friends, and church community is what keeps me encouraged and fills my soul.
