Independent Therapist at Integrity Counseling Center
Have you found yourself in a place, mentally, relationally, or spiritually where it is difficult to
determine what should come next or how to get there? Do you find that you are lacking the
necessary support to make that next goal in life attainable?
Life is challenging, and doing it alone can make it that much harder. We all need a little
guidance and encouragement. I am here to offer the help you need!
My hope is that, together, we can begin to help you find and develop resources, skills and
resilience that aid in you ability to experience joy, peace and fulfillment in every area of your life.
Who I Work With?
Counseling for Individuals:
I believe that we are holistic beings that must be understood within the context of our
relationships and environment. Therefore, in my work with individuals I will use our time together
to assist you in exploring and expanding your awareness of the various experiences that make
up and impact your life. I seek to understand your worldview while building a safe and trusting
therapeutic alliance. A few areas that I hope to help you gain insight in my include self-identity,
relationship struggles, life transitions, and goal development.
Counseling for Couples:
I believe in the possibility for restoration and joy that extends to include the most intimate
relationship we choose to have with our partner. Often times we share the same hopes and
desires as our partner, but relational wounds get in the way of knowing how to communicate
with our partners in safe, collaborative and meaningful ways. Whether you are dating, engaged
to be married, or married, these relationships are hard. Together, we will look at areas of your
relationship where pain may exist and learn new strategies for connection that can shift the pain
into peace.
As you and your partner begin to address some of the relational wounds that have existed in
and out of your relational context, you might find yourself needing to address some trauma,
childhood or other relational wounds beyond our time in couples counseling. I often suggest that
partners engage in a few individual counseling sessions either before, or in tandem with couples
counseling.
Not all relationships are in a crisis. If you and your partner are needing a tune up, or need some
assistance reaching a new life goal together, your time in couples counseling may be more brief,
but of the same value.
I am trained and certified Prepare and Enrich Facilitator, RelateStrong Facilitator, Gottman Level
1 Couples Counseling and integrate work influenced by Emotionally Focused Therapy.
Counseling for Families:
Family relationships can be the most fulfilling, and the most challenging to navigate. I am a
trained systems counselor and value understanding what makes your family unique. Whether it
is managing different personalities and relationship dynamics, or navigating various life
seasons, I am here to support and encourage your family so that your home is one filled with
peace, joy and connection. I enjoy my work most with families and kiddos age 8+.
What to expect in a counseling session with me as your therapist?
I strive to be real, and I work hard to create an atmosphere where you can be real too.
Whatever you choose to bring into our time together will be met with non-judgment.
I will provide an authentic and honest presence while taking a collaborate approach to our
relationship.
I consider my clients holistically (mentally, emotionally, socially, spiritually) and take a curious
approach to understand all of the parts that make up who you are.
Why choose me as your therapist?
My masters education from George Fox University, as well as various additional trainings has
prepared me in the specific areas of trauma informed care, spiritual and cultural considerations,
family systems and strategies specific to couples therapy and integrative work. I have a number
of years experience working with individuals and families in support of their mental, spiritual and
relational well-being.
I genuinely care and desire to see you experience the “Aha” moments that encourage clarity,
peace and fulfillment in your life and am so honored to be a part of that journey.
I am committed to taking an approach of a life long learner, including seeking additional formal
trainings, researching all things therapy related on my off time, and viewing you, the client, as
the expert of your life and experiences.
When I am not doing therapy…
You can be sure to find me outside exploring the beautiful PNW, anywhere that I can hang out
with people or animals of any kind or eating a lot of tacos.
When I am not outside enjoying the seasonal sunshine, you can find me curled up under a cozy
blanket reading a nonfiction novel, watching NCIS with my husband or taking a nap!
Frequent adventures with my family, friends, and church community is what keeps me
encouraged and fills my soul.
